cott and I met in high school, and we have been married for almost 13 years. We have 2 gorgeous children (not biased at all!), Nicole (age 7) and Luke (age 4). We live in Joplin, Missouri.

I am an Occupational therapist in the Carl Junction school district. I am the only O.T. for the school district, so I work with kids ranging from age 3 through high school with developmental disabilities, Austism, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, sensory processing disorders, fine motor deficits, and visual perceptual difficulties. I absolutely love my job and get a thrill from helping kids get the most out of life. I have worked in the school for the past 3 years, and prior to that I worked in the hospital in Rehab, Skilled Nursing, and Outpatient settings.

Scott is self-employed as an insurance agent. He is also a field trainer who trains other agents in his region. He loves the independence of being self-employed, and loves helping others with their needs. He sells annuities, life insurance, long term care, health insurance, and Medicare supplements. Scott has qualified for many conferences through his sales including Hawaii, Vancouver, Los Cabos, Washington D.C., and is currently working on making a trip to Ireland.

Nicole is in first grade and is 7 years old. She is an excellent student and recently won a reading contest in her building by reading 251 books in 4 weeks. Her teacher describes her as a leader and one she can always count on to help. Nicole loves High School Musical, swimming, and playing with friends. She plays soccer and is very assertive. She tried dancing and gymnastics, but didn't care for them because there were "too many practices and not enough performance". She rode a roller coaster for the first time on our spring break trip and loved it. Her favorite ride was Space Mountain! She is an absolute joy!

Luke is in preschool and is 4 years old. He is a charmer and knows how to smile and melt people's hearts. He does well in school, and really loves soccer. He is very determined when he plays sports, and he is very intense. He loves all sports and always roots for the Jayhawks with his dad! Luke loves riding his bike, and power rangers are his favorite toy. He is a very happy guy!

We are very active in our church - Christ's Community United Methodist, and have attended there for 12 years. I lead an adult Bible study, and this year I am going to try to brave orchestrating the summer Vacation Bible school with a couple of close friends (yikes!). We have a Saturday night "blue jean" service we attend which is very casual and we love it! Great friends, great music, and great atmosphere, what's not to love?

Our family just went to Disney World last week for Spring Break, and we had a marvelous time! It was exciting and far better than I even expected. We had to visit the ocean one day, because Scott and I can't be that close to one and not visit it! Our passion is travel, adventure, and flying by the seat of our pants! We love going places with no agenda in mind (not exactly the case with a Disney World trip, but we adjusted). We love exploring, hiking, scuba diving, biking, white water rafting, and boating/water sports. It is also a lot of fun hanging out in the back yard with the kids or having a large bonfire with friends. (we live outside city limits, so we can have a big bonfire!) Life is very good!
