BOLTON Martha Louise Bolton, age 79, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 24, 2005. "Mart", as she was fondly called, was born June 11, 1925 in Newark, Ohio. She ventured to Columbus, Ohio as a young adult, married, found employment, and joined Trinity Baptist Church, where she has been a devoted member since 1946. Predeceased by parents, Roger and Mary Thompson, husband, Ruben Bolton, son, Roger, sisters, Marion Ray and Cora Collins, brothers, Roger, James, Alvin, and Theodore Thompson, and very dear mother-in-law, A. Juanita Sprattling. She leaves to cherish fond memories of her life, son, Rodney Bolton; grandson, Tron Bolton; daughter-in-law, Vici Bolton; sister, Shirley Thompson; sisters-in-law, Betty Thompson and Esther Thompson; special niece and caregiver, Victoria (Anthony) Taylor; and a host of other relatives and loved ones. She was blessed by the special friendships of Catherine Sears, Viola Smith, Lydia and Ben Hadley, Mary Kay and Robert Fenner, Mr. and Mrs. John Mount, and the Isley/Abernathy Families. Homegoing Service 11 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Pastor Victor M. Davis, officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street.
